Phi Phi The Beach Resort sits on quiet Long Beach on Koh Phi Phi Don, in Krabi Province. The villas climb the hillside behind the sand and look across the water to Maya Bay island, Koh Phi Phi Leh.
The resort lies at the southern end of Long Beach, close to Shark Point. This rocky outcrop sits 100 to 150 metres offshore and is a snorkelling spot where small blacktip reef sharks are often seen in the early morning.
Rooms are villas in traditional teakwood style, spread up the slope. Most face the sea. Each has a private balcony and a path down to the restaurant and the pool. A buggy carries guests and luggage to the upper rows.
Long Beach has about 600 metres of fine white sand facing southwest toward Phi Phi Leh. It has little nightlife, so evenings are calm. The resort's beach bar is a sunset spot with a DJ and fire shows at night.
On site there is a beachfront restaurant, a beach bar, a swimming pool, a dive centre, massage, a cooking class and a minimart. A free beach Tai Chi session runs daily at 18:15, weather permitting.

Location
On Long Beach, Koh Phi Phi
Long Beach (Hat Yao), southern end near Shark Point, Koh Phi Phi Don, Krabi Province.
- Getting there
- The resort is reached by boat. Ferries run from Phuket (Rasada Pier) and from Krabi (Klong Jilad Pier) to Tonsai Pier on Phi Phi Don.
- Guests should contact the resort before travel to arrange the transfer from the ferry pier.
- From Tonsai Pier a longtail boat to Long Beach takes about 5 minutes. Drivers wait at the pier and on the beach.
- Walking from Tonsai takes about 25 to 30 minutes on a jungle trail over rocks, with steep and uneven parts. It is not advised at night and is harder at high tide.
- Guests landing at Phuket or Krabi airport after 12:00 should stay on the mainland and take a morning ferry. Arrive at the pier at least one hour before departure.
