The resort
Phi Phi Long Beach Resort & Villa
Phi Phi Long Beach Resort & Villa stands right on Long Beach, Hat Yao in Thai, on the south east side of Koh Phi Phi Don. The sand is about a minute on foot from the rooms.
The resort opened in 2014 and has 49 air conditioned rooms. They sit in clusters of orange two storey buildings and villas with peaked roofs and traditional dragon ornaments.
Superior Rooms have mint green walls and simple furniture. The villas have wood beam ceilings, gold leaf artwork and dark furniture, and some come with a plunge pool on the terrace.
The pool and the beach restaurant sit under thatched roofs, with wooden pillars and lantern lights. The water off the beach is turquoise, and Shark Point is a few hundred metres along the shore.
Tonsai village is about 30 minutes on foot along the shore at low tide. At high tide the way to Tonsai is by boat.

- Getting there
- Ferries run from Phuket (Rasada Pier) and Krabi (Klong Jilad Pier) to Tonsai Pier on Phi Phi Don. The crossing takes about two hours.
- The resort is reached by boat. Contact the resort before travel to arrange the transfer from Tonsai Pier.
- Guests report a free longtail transfer from Tonsai Pier, with boats back to the pier at 08:00, 10:00 and 12:00 on check out day.
- Guests arriving at Phuket or Krabi airport after noon should stay on the mainland and take a morning ferry.
