The resort
Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort
Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort sits on a private beach at Phak Nam Bay on Phi Phi Don, away from the village. It looks out over the Andaman Sea.
Guests stay in bungalows built from natural wood. Some stand in the first row on the sand, others in the tropical garden behind or higher up on the hillside with sea views. There are 47 units in ten room types.
There is no road and no pier. The resort's own longtail boat runs several times a day from Tonsai Pier and lands on the beach. A jungle path over the island takes about an hour on foot.
The beachfront Relax Restaurant serves Thai food, fresh seafood and international dishes, and Relax Bar serves drinks and cocktails on the beach.
Days are spent on the beach, in a kayak or on boat trips. The resort runs its own island tours and fishing trips and offers traditional Thai massage.

- Getting there
- Fly to Phuket or Krabi and take a ferry or speedboat to Tonsai Pier. From Rassada Pier in Phuket the ferry takes about 2 hours and the speedboat about 1 hour. From Krabi the ferry takes about 2 hours and the shared speedboat about 1 hour.
- At Tonsai Pier, staff with a Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort sign wait near the bridge close to Burger King.
- The resort longtail boat takes about 30 minutes. From November to April it leaves the pier at 11:30, 13:30, 15:00, 16:30 and 17:30. From May to October it leaves at 12:00, 14:00, 16:00 and 17:30, the last one on request at least 2 hours ahead.
- From the resort to the pier the boat leaves at 08:00, 10:00 and 12:30.
- The boat lands on the beach, so wear shorts and waterproof shoes. Life jackets are on board and staff load the bags. Pack light.
- Walking takes about 60 minutes through the jungle, past the Phi Phi viewpoints.
- The resort can arrange paid packages with airport pickup, boat ticket and longtail transfer.
