Mama Beach Residence
Mama Beach Residence is a boutique hotel directly on the beach of Tonsai Bay on Koh Phi Phi Don. It lies to the left when you leave the port, about 700 metres or a 10 minute walk from Tonsai Pier, in a calm and green part of the bay.
There are 24 rooms set in a tropical garden. Some face the beach, others look over the garden. The hotel is adults only.
Guests have a large jacuzzi open until midnight, a sunny beachfront terrace and a solarium, with sun loungers and mattresses facing the sea. Massages are given by the water.
A buffet breakfast is served each morning. The oceanfront restaurant serves lunch, and the beach bar stands with its feet in the water, with a daily happy hour.
There are no roads on the island, so the setting is quiet. The village with its shops, restaurants and massage salons is about an 8 minute walk away.

Location
On Tonsai Bay, Koh Phi Phi
Directly on the beach of Tonsai Bay, to the left when leaving the port, Koh Phi Phi Don, Krabi.
- Getting there
- Book a ferry or speedboat from Krabi or Phuket to Tonsai Pier in advance. Boat times are limited, so check the last departure of the day.
- Staff in orange uniforms with a MAMA BEACH sign meet guests at the pier and carry luggage to the hotel free of charge.
- Luggage pickups from the pier run at 08:20, 10:50, 13:30 and 15:00.
- The walk from the pier takes about 10 minutes. There are no cars or motorbikes on the island.
