Carlito's Bar
Carlito's opened in 1994 and is one of the longest running bars on Phi Phi. It spreads over two buildings on either side of the shoreline path on the eastern side of Tonsai Bay, and the beachside part has the best seats.
The fire show on the beach starts around 9:30 pm, with DJs playing reggae and house and live music on some nights. There are pool tables, cocktails and buckets, plus simple snacks like fries and nuggets.
Days are relaxed. Locals and travellers drop in during the afternoon, and you can learn fire poi with unlit weights or join a yoga class. The crowd is calmer than on Loh Dalum, families included.
